Volkswagen Group considered setting the growth target for 2022 and updated the ten million sales’ target for 2018.
Bernd Osterloh, Volkswagen’s Chairman of the Union, said that because Volkswagen car sales grew fast, it may achieve the goal of 10 million before 2018. Therefore, Volkswagen’s board of management considered setting a new growth target and the time note is set in 2022. However, they didn’t reveal the expected sales figures possibly reached in 2022.
In 2012, Volkswagen Group’s global sales were 9.1 million, up 11.2% year on year, which hit the Group’s record high.
